A yard path connection is a line that represents the link between a graph vertex and a yard bin, which is typically a block or a section. Yard path connections are necessary to define ingress and egress paths to and from the yard blocks.
A yard path connection is drawn the same way that you draw a yard path. Adding a yard path connection requires that you draw the yard path on the map and then define the yard path connection properties.
Adding a yard path connection is the same task as setting up a per-block yard path model configuration options for PR-TT distance calculations. For more information about the per-block and per-row yard path model configuration options, see Yard path model configuration options for PrimeRoute calculations (on page 1).
To add or edit a single yard path connection:
Select (the Draw Yard Path tool).
N4 displays connection points on yard bins.
Click the vertex where you want the yard path connection to start.
To connect the yard path to a yard bin, double-click one of the following:
For a stack block: a corner vertex
For a non-stack block or berth: the center point
The Add yard path connection form (on page 1) displays.
Define yard path connection properties (on page 1).
